About Us
Dr. Jennifer Planitz O.D.
Dr. Planitz first became interested in aesthetics when she began treating dry eye with Intense Pulsed Light. She developed a protocol that made her patients look 20 years younger in the eye area she was treating, and knew at that point she had to treat the entire face when treating dry eye. The rest is history. She has taken multiple laser courses including over 200 hours in laser specific training. Dr. Planitz has certified in the aesthetic application of Radio Frequency, Radio Frequency Microneedling, Intense Pulsed Light therapy, SplendorX, Oxygeneo and Piqo4. She continues to develop her own unique protocols today. Dr. Planitz is also certified in the application of permanent makeup including microblading, powder brow and ombré brow, various eyeliner techniques, and lip liner and lip blush. She has earned Medical Spa Medical Director Certificates from the National Institute for Medical Aesthetics in Las Vegas, NV and the SAA Academy in Phoenix, AZ. In her spare time Dr. Planitz enjoys physical fitness activities, travel, and spending time with her family.
Katie Keil, MSN, FNP-C
Katie was born and raised in Ohio prior to chasing her long-time dream of living and practicing in The Valley of the Sun. She has always had a passion for caring for others which spurred her Bachelors in Nursing graduating in 2013 and her Masters in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner degree in 2020. During her Masters program Katie had the opportunity to work alongside highly-trained healthcare professionals in the medical aesthetic world where she found her true calling. Her passion is to help people look and feel good from the inside out. Katie has taken multiple advanced aesthetic trainings allowing her to deliver her clients’ desired results. Outside of her job as an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner Katie enjoys spending time with friends and family, working out, hiking and traveling. With her education, training and over 8 years clinical experience Katie helps others feel good about themselves and achieve and maintain their desired aesthetic results.
Jayda Foster
Jayda is our smiling face you see when you walk in the door. She is a New Mexico transplant and currently enrolled in nursing school to become a nurse injector. She loves the environment of The Med Spa at Scottsdale and helping our clients look and feel their best. In her free time she likes to enjoy the outdoors and playing volleyball. She is a dog mom to her 3 Dachshund pups, Kai, Bella and Juju.
Cara Planitz-Clatanoff
Cara is a graduate of the Full-Time MBA program at the USC Marshall School of Business and is excited to bring her expertise in business strategy, human resources and social impact to The Med Spa At team. In addition to her work with The Med Spa At she is a Spiritual Life Coach and Psychic trained in Hatha Yoga, Vipassana Meditation and Alchemical Hypnotherapy. Outside of work she loves to hike, travel and salsa dance!
